What you can learn about collaboration from a 10 year old

So growing up I played video games with friends. First by sharing a computer, then by having two computers in the same room, then by playing remotely. But remote games just aren’t the same even if you get voice working.

But check out what Max and Reid do when playing games together:

photoInstead of schlepping a computer next door they set up Facetime video conference so they can talk and see each other while playing.

I can’t help wondering where I should be using this same technique at work. I’m not talking about a scheduled conference call but just an open line with someone I’m working with. Even if they’re only two rooms away, why not?
